OUR STORY

It's not the easiest time in history to be a kid but here we are, wedged in between World War 3 and a math test on Friday. It's getting harder to focus on the future when you're not sure they'll be one. As much as kids can do stupid shit they can't hold a candle to adults. Why is that? Kids are smart enough not to confuse education with intelligence. I train people at the top of their class, top of their field, CEO's and PhD's who do some of the dumbest stuff I've ever seen. Mind boggling, jaw dropping stuff that a ten year old has enough sense to avoid only to discover they don't teach common sense at Columbia or how to have self respect at Harvard. Remember the female astronaut who drove across country in a diaper to kill a guy who dumped her? I bet she aced the ACT's. Didn't help her in  prison though.

Intelligence is all relative but if you think it's relegated to the area between your ears you've been misinformed. That other brain called the body that doesn't speak your language doesn't need to in order see what's ahead. It's not knowing the future that counts but seeing the present in slow motion. Boxing affords you the opportunity to listen with your skin and talk with your fists. When you're able to throw a punch without anger you can do scary shit without being afraid. And it's all scary until you scare it back.
